Terms of Service

Last Updated: February 14, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Solr (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Evoy ("we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the Solr mobile application.

2. Description of the Service

Solr is a screen time management and personal growth app that helps users reduce doomscrolling by replacing it with positive affirmations. The Service includes app blocking via Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls framework, affirmation completion (spoken, typed, or handwritten), progress tracking, mood logging, and gamification features.

All affirmation validation — including speech recognition, handwriting recognition, and text matching — is performed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in features. No audio, images, or text are sent to external services for processing.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between the ages of 13 and 16 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction), you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. User Accounts

You must register an account using a third-party authentication provider (Apple or Google). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we suspect any unauthorized use or breach of these Terms.

5. Screen Time and App Blocking

5.1 How It Works

Solr uses Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls framework to block apps you select. This is a core feature of the Service and requires you to grant Screen Time authorization.

5.2 Limitations

App blocking relies on Apple's Screen Time API, which may not work perfectly in all situations. Blocking behavior may vary depending on your iOS version, device settings, or system updates. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free blocking, and we are not responsible for any consequences if blocking does not work as expected. Solr is a self-improvement tool, not a parental control or enterprise device management solution.

6. Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

8. Subscriptions and Payments

Solr offers auto-renewing subscription plans that provide unlimited access to all app features. The following terms apply:

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and technology used in the Service are owned by or licensed to Evoy and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

Your affirmation responses and personal data remain yours, subject to the licenses needed to operate the Service.

10. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Solr is a personal development tool. We make no claims that using the Service will produce specific health, wellness, or behavioral outcomes. The affirmations and features are for self-improvement purposes and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Evoy Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

Our total liability for any claims arising out of or related to the use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Evoy Labs, its affiliates, and service providers from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

14. Account Deletion

You may stop using Solr at any time.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any other reason.

16. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after any changes means you accept the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
